Neues Seminar für WI-Bachelorstudenten: MAN 455 Digital Social Innovation Lab – Young Academy

The DSI Lab – Young Academy can be attended by the following bachelor programs: Business Administration, Economics and Business Informatics. Depending on the study program, the seminar will be structured differently and will be evaluated with either 3 or 6 ECTS points.

For bachelor students of Business Administration and Economics:
Students will participate in four workshop sessions and a final pitch event. Their task is to develop a business plan for a digital social start-up idea, which will be presented at the end of the course. In addition, the students have to submit a written summary of the social business model canvas. This will be evaluated with 3 ECTS points.

For bachelor students of Business Informatics:
The basic task also is to develop a digital social business idea. They also have to hold the presentation and hand in the summary of the social business model canvas. In addition to the workshop sessions, the students have to complete a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on „Purpose and New Work“ which will contain short knowledge quizzes. Therefore, the DSI Lab – Young Academy is graded with 6 ECTS points. Further information for students in the field of Business Informatics will be distributed soon via the channels of their program management.

For all the students, the course consists of independent group work and in-class sessions. The in-class sessions are listed below. In the first event we will form teams. If you have already found team members before and you are a group of four or five, please let us know.
