Inverse Problems

This lecture (6 ECTS) will cover the mathematical foundation of inverse problems. The task of an inverse problem is to recover information about unknown parameters that cannot be observed directly but are accessible through indirect data collected via a forward observation model. Most importantly, we will discuss classical regularization theory, statistical inverse problems, and the Bayesian approache for solving inverse problems.
