New at WIM: Prof. Dr. Simone Rademacher
Frau Prof. Dr. Simone Rademacher will take up a professorship funded through the German Federal and State Programme for Female Professors (Professorinnenprogramm), thereby strengthening both academic excellence and gender equality at the University of Mannheim.
Professor Rademacher is an internationally recognized researcher in the field of mathematical physics. After studying physics and completing an elite master’s program in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, she earned her PhD from the Zurich Graduate School in Mathematics, focusing on the mathematical analysis of quantum many-body systems.
Her research combines advanced methods from analysis, probability theory, and quantum mechanics and has resulted in publications in leading international journals. Her current work includes the rigorous derivation and analysis of effective equations for quantum many-particle systems, such as models describing Bose–Einstein condensates.
Professor Rademacher’s academic excellence has been recognized through several prestigious awards and fellowships, including the ISTplus Postdoctoral Fellowship (co-funded by the European Union under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie programme), funding from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes), and an invitation to the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings in Physics.
In addition to her strong research profile, Professor Rademacher brings extensive teaching experience from multiple universities. She has taught courses in analysis and probability theory and has supervised students at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels.
We very much look forward to Professor Rademacher’s contributions to research, teaching, and academic life at the University of Mannheim and warmly welcome her to our academic community.
