Free-Mover stay at the California State University Chico
Program Highlights:
- Easy application: quick online application, upload copies of transcripts and English proficiency exam scores, and short statement about the desired classes at Chico State. No application fee!
- Affordable program cost: semester fees are approximately $7,624 for 12 credits of coursework (4 classes) and include health/
accident insurance.
- Cost-effective off-campus housing options are half the cost of San Francisco Bay and Los Angeles areas: Chico has plenty of private housing options – unlike big California cities. Average monthly rent for a private bedroom is approximately $500-$650.
- Early class selection: Chico State allows Semester@ students to choose classes one month before the semester begins (not upon arrival like other programs). While student flexibility is important, we also understand the need to accommodate home university requirements.
- Strong student support: Semester@Chico students receive the same excellent care and access to support services as our degree-seeking and exchange students – Wildcat Recreation Center (WREC), The Well, ESL Support Services, and dedicated International Student Advisors.
