Experience the unique study atmosphere at the University of Mannheim. Be part of the vibrant student life and acquire future-oriented skills at the School of Business Informatics and Mathematics. Our school is reputed for its excellent teaching and research, which competes at the highest international level. The application of theoretical knowledge in practice forms a substantial part of the learning objectives we set our students. Benefit from our extensive range of courses offered in English and find modules that fit your area of specialization perfectly.

Due to its grid street plan, the “Quadratestadt” (“city of squares”) of Mannheim is often compared to New York. With roughly 2.4 million inhabitants, excellent infrastructure as well as numerous businesses and start-ups, the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region constitutes one of Germany’s most attractive centers of finance and industry. What is there to see in Mannheim? Besides its industrial charm, Mannheim offers plenty of green spaces and parks near its two rivers, the Rhine and the Neckar. You can also find a great number of shopping centers, cafés, restaurants, and museums. Visit the Kunsthalle art gallery, see a performance at the National Theater, or get tickets to one of the numerous events and concerts held at the SAP arena. If you would like to take some time to unwind and relax, the Palatinate, a well-known wine and hiking region, is just around the corner.

Studying at the School of Business Informatics and Mathematics at the University of Mannheim was a wonderful experience! The infrastructure of the university made my exchange semester a very enjoyable experience. Studying in one of the five libraries, taking classes in very modern classrooms, and having a whole lot of resources (and even classes) online made it possible for me to organize my time better and enjoy some of the extracurricular activities the university has to offer. In addition, the professors I had were very experienced in their fields and very open to helping the students and answering all our questions. Overall, it was a wonderful experience which I would recommend to anyone who wants to come to Germany for an exchange semester.

I am studying at the School of Business Informatics and Mathematics as an Erasmus student. This is an incredible experience! I feel very welcomed by the teachers and local students here. Since there is a great choice of courses taught in English, it is easy to find something that suits my interests. The quality of the courses is great, the slides are uploaded on the platform and the teachers often use interesting examples. Also, the campus is beautiful and there are always some events organized by and for the students!
