Funding period
The President’s Office of the University of Mannheim issues the following Call for Applications for the academic year 2025/
Scholarship amount
Each scholarship amounts to EUR 300 per month and is funded by a private funding provider and by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), 50 percent, respectively.
Application
Who can apply for a Deutschland Scholarship?
- Application for the Deutschland Scholarship is open to enrolled students of all fields pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or state examination degree within the standard period of study
- as well as applicants for a program at the University of Mannheim.
- Only applications in due form and time containing all required documents will be considered. A late submission of the application or parts of the application is inadmissible.
Application periods
Please note the different application deadlines according to study phase:
Application period for applicants to a master's program and application period for students
of all degrees and subjects who are already enrolled at the University of Mannheim and who
are in the standard period of study:
1 April to 2 June 2025
Application period for candidates applying for a bachelor’s program:
3 June to 16 July 2025

Applications for the Deutschland Scholarship are to be submitted electronically via the online form provided via https://www.uni-mannheim.de/en/scholarships/deutschland-scholarship/.
If, due to a case of hardship, an application cannot be submitted electronically, it can be submitted in written form or by declaration.
