The VW Foundation is funding a joint project “CAIUS: Consequences of AI for Urban Societies” of the Chair of Artificial Intelligence (Prof. Stuckenschmidt) and the Chair for Statistics and Methodology (Prof. Kreuter) in cooperation with Prof. Eckert from HdM Stuttgart with 1.5 Mio Euro over the next 4 years. The project is part of the programme "Künstliche Intelligenz – Ihre Auswirkungen auf die Gesellschaft von morgen” and will start in 2021. The funding provides the basis for continuing the work that has already been carried out based on seed funding by the VW Foundation and the MZES Institute.
