Bachelor and Master's Theses
Writing a thesis at a Chair of Mathematical Finance offers an exciting opportunity to combine rigorous mathematics with real-world applications, appearing, e.g., in finance, economics, and data-driven decision making. In general, the field is highly interdisciplinary, drawing on tools from probability theory, stochastic analysis, optimization, numerical analysis and statistics to tackle questions that are both theoretically deep and practically relevant.
We are offering a broad range of topics for degree theses, ranging from applied to pure theoretical, in the following areas:
- actuarial science,
- computational finance,
- mathematical finance,
- mathematical foundation of machine learning,
- stochastic analysis,
- stochastic processes.
